Mental Health Doctors Decry Latest MLFS Proposal as DWC's Comment Period Closes

Mental health professionals from around California have submitted comments in opposition to the Division of Workers’ Compensation’s latest Medical-Legal Fee Schedule proposal, saying lackluster reimbursement rates, inadequate cost of living adjustments and fixed fees could discourage physicians from serving as qualified medical evaluators. “These new regulations are ambiguous and will lead to increased friction between the providers and payers.
