In what an insurance company official said is a most unusual case, a Texas truck stop owner has pleaded guilty to claiming that a man who was injured at the shop was an employee.
James Russell Williams, owner of George West Truck Stop, northwest of Galveston, was ordered this week to pay $50,000 in restitution to Texas Mutual Insurance Co., the state Division of Workers' Compensation said in a news release Thursday.
