The Delaware Department of Insurance has put the final touches on new rules that require pharmacy benefits managers to register annually and provide contract information to state regulators.
The final rules, posted this week, take effect Aug. 11, making Delaware the latest state to demand more transparency from PBMs, which have been criticized for profiting off of drug prices paid by government and private insurers.
