Verbal Settlement Not Enforceable through Equitable Estoppel

Equitable estoppel does not allow an insurer to enforce the terms of an alleged verbal settlement agreement between a workers' compensation claimant and another insurance carrier because there was no written contract between the parties, District III of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals ruled.Case: Weber v.
