OSHA Fines Construction Company for Fatal Fall

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration fined a company $115,221 for a fatal fall at a construction site in Boston. Numerous media reports say Barry P. Medeiros, 43, died Aug. 9 at the Cutler Majestic Theater after falling nearly 50 feet while trying to remove netting from pipe scaffolding. OSHA said NER Construction Management Inc. was contracted by Emerson College to do masonry work on the building.
