Post-traumatic stress disorder would be presumed to arise out of work for first responders and other emergency workers in Missouri, under a pair of bills pre-filed ahead of the 2020 legislative session.
House Bill 1263 would create a presumption that PTSD is a compensable condition for “emergency workers.” Senate Bill 545 would create a similar presumption for PTSD, but would also include respiratory disorders, hypertension and cardiovascular-renal disease.
