Everest Re Appoints Deputy Chief Underwriter

Everest Re Group Ltd. announced Monday the appointment of Christopher Downey as deputy chief underwriting officer of Everest Re Group. Downey joins Everest from Montpelier Reinsurance Ltd., where he served as senior vice president and head of the Global Casualty & Specialty Treaty unit. He also served as a member of Montpelier's Executive Committee and the underwriting leadership team.
