The Occupational Safety and Health Administration cited an Illinois roofer for the 20th time after finding workers were yet again exposed to the risk of falls at its worksites.
OSHA fined Robert Barringer III, operating as Barringer Brothers Roofing, $214,782 on Tuesday. The fine stemmed from six violations of federal safety standards found during a July inspection of a Troy, Illinois, worksite.
Four of Barringer Brothers' six violations this go-around were classified as "willful," OSHA's most severe official category of citation.
