Marguerite Sweeney Joining WCAB Monday

The head of the California Workers' Compensation Appeals Board said the newest commissioner will join the board on Monday.Gov. Jerry Brown on Feb. 13 appointed Marguerite Sweeney, an applicants' attorney in Redding, to the Appeals Board. Sweeney's first day will be March 12, according to Ronnie Caplane, who was named chairwoman of the appeals board on Dec. 6. Sweeney has spent 33 years representing injured workers and since 1990 she has been the principal attorney at the Law Office of Marguerite Sweeney in Redding.
