A California appellate court has dismissed a convicted workers' compensation fraudster's appeal of an order to pay roughly $92,000 in restitution to his employer.
Hariberto Guillen pleaded guilty in 2015 to making a false statement for the purposes of obtaining workers' compensation benefits. Last year, he was placed on probation for three years and later ordered to pay $92,146.42 in restitution to Infinity Staffing, his employer. The restitution covered the costs of the investigation, and medical and legal fees, related to his workers' compensation claim.
