A Scranton, Pennsylvania, business thought it was buying workers’ compensation insurance from an employee services business, but all it did was spend $7,112.38 for nothing, according to the Scranton Times-Tribune.
Alfonso Joseph Sebia, 63, of Lehighton, Pennsylvania, was arraigned on one count each of fraud and theft and 23 counts of forgery recently after he was charged with failing to provide workers’ compensation insurance while charging for it.
