Former Manhattan prosecutor Joan Illuzzi, a candidate in the race for Staten Island District Attorney, twice sued the city for nearly $5 million in injury benefits in the 90s, according to an article published yesterday by the New York Post.
Illuzzi sued the city in 1994 and 1997 for accidents that stemmed from her work, but both of her cases were dismissed because she had already received workers’ compensation benefits from the city.
