The Oregon Senate passed a bill that would give firefighters in Portland the same presumption that certain diseases are occupational in nature that other firefighters in the state have enjoyed since the 1960s.
The Senate on Monday voted 28-1 to pass HB 2915, by Rep. Davia Grayber, D-Tigard, and send the measure to the governor’s desk. The state House of Representatives voted 59-1 to pass the bill in April.
