In Surprise Move, Governor Sets Up Team To Crack Down on Unethical Employers

North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory on Friday signed an executive order estblishing a dedicated investigation and enforcement team to crack down on employers that misclassify workers as independent contractors. The section will have its own director, investigators and liaisons from various state departments. This executive order came as a surprise to Rep.
