NCCI Recommends 1.9% Loss-Cost Increase

The National Council on Compensation Insurance has filed for a 1.9% loss-cost increase in South Carolina's voluntary market, according the council's State Advisory Forum presentation, posted online this week. The increase was the sixth-highest that NCCI recommended in the nation during this year's rate filing cycle. The District of Columbia led the pack, with a 6.8% loss-cost hike. Maine, Rhode Island, New Mexico and Hawaii also saw increases ranging from 2% to 2.6%. South Carolina also leads the Southern region in loss-cost increases.
