The Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation is seeking comments on rules needed to adopt the latest electronic data interchange claims reporting standards.
The division has used the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions reporting standards since 1994. The rules would facilitate an update from Release 1 to the latest Release 3.1 standards.
Moving to Release 3.1 would abandon the outdated standard that the IAIABC no longer uses or updates, and would align claim standards in Texas with those used in other states, the division said.
