A complaint to the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration led to proposed fines of $53,900 against a Houston-based roofing company for exposing workers to fall hazards.
OSHA said it inspected a job site in Abilene, Texas, in May and afterward cited Peak Roofing Inc. for one willful violation for exposing workers to falls from heights greater than 6 feet without providing fall protection. Peak Roofing has been cited for the same hazards at three locations in Texas since 2011, OSHA said.
