OSHA Cites U.S. Steel for Fatal Coke Works Explosion

The U.S. Labor Department has cited and proposed penalties for United States Steel Corp. and contractor MPW Industrial Services after an August 2025 explosion at the steel giant’s Clairton Coke Works in Pennsylvania killed two and injured 12 workers.
