The owner of a Southern California drywall company was sentenced to 120 days in jail and ordered to pay more than $250,000 to a workers' compensation carrier for underreporting payroll, the San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office announced.
Miguel Contreras, 36, former owner of National Drywall Inc. in Ontario, was ordered to spend three months in jail and serve three years of probation on Dec. 8. He was also ordered to pay $262,353 in underpaid premiums to workers' compensation carrier ICW Group, prosecutors said.
