Court Upholds Dismissal of Worker's Latest Challenge to BWC Debit Card Program

An Ohio appellate court upheld the dismissal of a worker’s latest effort to obtain compensation for fees that were allegedly deducted from his benefits as part of the state’s debit card benefit payment program. In February 2021, Michael Cirino filed a class-action complaint for declaratory and injunctive relief in the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas.
