Total fatalities and days away from work as a result of injuries and illnesses decreased by 17% in 2012, according to a workplace safety report released by the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development.The 100 fatal work-related injuries in the state during 2012 were down from the 120 recorded in 2011.
