Crawford & Co. Sells Legal Services Unit to Epiq

Crawford & Co. announced that it has sold Garden City Group, its legal administrative services unit, to Epiq, an international legal services firm. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Crawford said the sale allows it to focus on its core services and invest more resources toward providing claims management. 

As part of the agreement, Epiq will continue to provide ancillary support services to augment Crawford claims operations, the company said.

Garden City Group provides legal administration services for class action, bankruptcy, mass tort, regulatory matters and legal notice programs, Epiq said in a press release.

Combined operations include two state-of-the-art print, mail and contact center locations in Beaverton, Oregon, and Dublin, Ohio, as well as call centers in Phoenix and Tampa, Florida, Epiq said.
