Ulster County Corrections Officer Charged with Comp Fraud

A former corrections officer for the Ulster County, N.Y., Sheriff's Office has been charged with workers' compensation fraud, the Times Herald-Record reported on Saturday.The Kingston, N.Y., newspaper reported that Timothy Ross, 43, of Port Jervis, N.Y., was charged with grand larceny, offering a false instrument for filing, insurance fraud, falsifying business records and committing a fraudulent practice on Aug. 30.Ross has been receiving benefits since 2008 from a work-related injury.
