The Illinois Appellate Court this week ruled that a truck driver’s description of injuries in an agreement to settle his workers’ compensation claim did not bar him from alleging additional injuries in tort. Derrick Roberts had worked for National Freight as a truck driver. He was driving a National semi on March 6, 2016, when his vehicle collided with Clifton Armstead’s tractor-trailer.
