Employer Can't Get Out of Lump Settlement with Worker who Died

The Missouri Court of Appeals ruled that an employer who had sought to back out of a settlement it reached with a worker when the worker died one day after signing off on the agreement could not attempt to relitigate the issue of whether the Labor and Industrial Relations Commission should have approved the agreement after the Court of Appeals had already ruled that the agreement was enforceable and had remanded the case to the commission for approval. Case: Nance v.
