Judge Orders Some TB Testing for Tallahassee State Workers

A circuit court judge in Tallahassee, Fla., has ordered tuberculosis screenings for all of the state Department of Education (DOE) workers housed at the Northwood Centre office complex in the state capital.The Tallahassee Democrat reported Saturday that Circuit Judge Frank Sheffield ordered the tests based on the testimony of a state Department of Health nurse who tested 19 employees in DOE and reported that five showed signs of tuberculosis exposure.One DOE worker was hospitalized with active tuberculosis and a coworker who sat near her said he and his wife both tested positive for exposure t...
