North Carolina lawmakers on Friday unanimously passed a bill that would add post-traumatic stress disorder suffered by a first responder to the state’s list of compensable occupational diseases.
The state House of Representatives passed House Bill 492, by Rep. Donna White, R-Clayton, which would make it easier for law enforcement officers, firefighters, 911 dispatchers, emergency medical technicians and paramedics to have compensable claims for PTSD.
