Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper on Thursday signed a bill that will allow the Division of Workers’ Compensation to waive fines for late reports when carriers didn’t have notice of an injury in time to meet the filing deadline.Colorado Labor Code Sections 8-43-101 and 8-43-103 require an employer to report to the division and its carrier within 10 days all injuries resulting in more than three days of lost time, as well as all occupational illnesses.
