Governor Reappoints Cathleen Parsley as SOAH Chief Judge

Texas Gov. Rick Perry announced on Wednesday he has reappointed Cathleen Parsley of Austin as chief administrative law judge for the State Office of Administrative Hearings (SOAH) for a term to expire May 15, 2014.SOAH hears disputes in decisions by state agencies, including the Division of Workers' Compensation and Department of Insurance.The chief administrative law judge oversees hearings in contested cases to ensure they are conducted "objectively, promptly and efficiently," the governor's office reported.Parsley is a member of the State Bar of Texas, and is admitted to practice la...
