A Kentucky state lawmaker claimed in a legislative committee hearing that there were “significant flaws” in an occupational disease presumption measure for firefighters who contract cancer, according to the Richmond Register.
But House Bill 156, sponsored by Rep. Denver Butler, D-Louisville, earned a favorable report from the House Appropriations and Revenue Committee and was posted for passage in Wednesday’s regular orders of the day, according to the Legislature’s website.
