Masonry Subcontractor Figures Indicted on $7M Fraud Charges

The owner of a New York masonry subcontractor and the firm’s accountant were indicted on fraud charges for allegedly altering payroll documents to reduce workers’ compensation premiums by more than $7 million. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg Jr. announced the indictments of Oneteam Restoration Inc. owner and President Mario Rojas Jr. and certified public accountant Steven Lyon for allegedly defrauding the New York State Insurance Fund.
