Fine for Drilling Company Following Death of Construction Worker

A drilling company faces fines of close to $15,000 following the fatal injury of a worker at a job site in Nebraska. BS Pilings Solutions, of Riverside, Missouri, was fined for failing to properly rig a load, to train those working around cranes and suspended loads and to remove non-essential employees from a crane's fall zone. The 42-year-old worker was struck by a steel bar that fell from a crane at the building site in Lincoln.
