Interest on Worker's Award of Past-Due Benefits Wasn't Subject to Compounding

The Commonwealth Court ruled that an employer had to pay only simple interest, not compound interest, on a worker's award of past-due benefits. Case: Tobler v. WCAB (Verizon Pennsylvania), No. 2211 C.D. 2014, 0709/2015, published. Facts: Verizon Pennsylvania filed a notice of compensation payable in 1998, acknowledging James Tobler had suffered a compensable injury to his hand.
