Employer Not Liable for Costs of Treatment After Reversal

The Iowa Court of Appeals ruled that an employer could not be held liable for the costs of treatment a worker received after the award was overturned. Case: Lynch Livestock Inc. v. Bursell, No. 17-1629, 03/06/2019, published. Facts: Kenneth Bursell worked for Lynch Livestock. He suffered a sprained ankle at work in December 2008. Lynch accepted the injury as compensable.
