AG Announces $5.7B Settlement With Walgreens

California Attorney General Rob Bonta announced a proposed $5.7 billion multistate settlement agreement with retail pharmacy chain Walgreens to address its role in fueling the opioid epidemic. The settlement would resolve allegations that the retailer failed to appropriately oversee the dispensing of opioids at its pharmacies.
