L&I Reports Possible Data Breach

The Washington State Department of Labor and Industries announced that one of its contractors was targeted by a ransomeware attack that may have exposed information about some injured workers. L&I said data on some servers run by Pacific Market Research was encrypted by an unauthorized party. Pacific Market Research had a document with contact information, claim numbers and dates of birth for 16,466 workers who had comp claims in 2019.
