Labor Commissioner Offering Workplace Safety Grants

The Utah Labor Commissioner is accepting applications for grants that will help pay to develop or improve workplace safety programs. The total amount of grants that will be distributed is $750,000. Nonprofits, community groups, employer associations, small businesses and labor unions are all eligible to apply. Types of proposals the commissioner is seeking include efforts to develop workshops and safety programs, implementing special safety programs and collaborative safety training programs.
