Privette Doctrine Bars Subcontractor's Employee From Suing General Contractor

A California appellate court ruled that the Privette doctrine barred an electrical subcontractor’s employee from pursuing a civil suit against a general contractor for a housing project. Skanska USA was the general contractor for the construction of a housing project in San Francisco owned by the Regents of the University of California.
