Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Monday signed legislation that reopens the window for workers and volunteers at the 9/11 World Trade Center cleanup to file or appeal their workers' compensation claims.
"This bill rightly and fairly provides 9/11's brave recovery workers and volunteers the time they need to receive the health benefits and compensation they deserve," Cuomo said in statement, according to local news reports.
