The New York Workers’ Compensation Board adopted emergency rules that increase fees for some procedures listed in the Ambulatory Surgery Fee Schedule and require payers to designate contacts for prior authorization requests.
Proposed changes to the ASC fee rules in Section 329-2.1 would identify more than a dozen procedures and Current Procedural Terminology codes that are exempt from the ambulatory patient groups reimbursement methodology and must be reimbursed at specified rates for services provided on or after March 15.
