While other states saw firefighters marching in the streets and extensive local news coverage, Tennessee lawmakers this year quietly passed a presumption law that lists four types of cancer deemed to be work-related.
Senate Bill 1442 was signed into law by Gov. Bill Lee and will take effect July 1, making Tennessee one of the last states to adopt some type of presumption law.
