Claim Costs Rising After Supreme Court Decisions, WCRI Finds

Two Florida Supreme Court decisions in 2016, along with recent increases in the state’s medical fee schedule, may be boosting workers’ comp claim costs in the Sunshine State, according to a new report from the Workers Compensation Research Institute. The high court decisions may be a factor in the recent faster growth in indemnity payments per claim in Florida, according to the report authored by WCRI researcher Rebecca (Rui) Yang.
