Amy L. Parks, the top lawyer for the Nevada Division of Insurance, has been appointed acting insurance commissioner, Department of Business and Industry Director Bruce H. Breslow announced Tuesday.
Parks assumes the role after the resignation of former Insurance Commissioner Scott Kipper, announced last month and effective July 2.
Breslow said Parks has 11 years of "high-level" experience at the division and will now serve for the second time as acting commissioner. She has served as chief insurance counsel and hearing officer for the Insurance Division since the spring of 2009...
