Fatal Fall Brings $47K in Fines against 2 Contractors

A worker's fatal fall from the fourth floor of an apartment complex under construction prompted the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration to propose $47,200 in fines against two Houston contractors. OSHA cited Jose Miguel Charles and Blazer Building Inc. for failing to provide adequate fall protection after the worker fell 36 feet to his death at a New Braunfels construction site.
