Starting July 1, a pilot project in North Dakota will limit chiropractic treatment for injured workers to initial office visits unless chiropractors obtain prior authorization.
North Dakota Workforce Safety & Insurance says the pilot program discontinues the previously allowed window of 12 visits or 90 days for chiropractic treatment. The agency will continue to reimburse chiropractors under the old treatment window for claims filed before July 1.
