A shooting range in Lafayette has been hit with 16 serious safety violations, many for exposing workers to large quantities of lead, after an inspection by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration
OSHA inspected Barney’s Police Supply in January after it received a complaint from an employee alleging the firing range was exposing workers to lead.
In all, the company was hit with 16 serious safety violations and faces proposed penalties of $78,000, according to OSHA.
