The New York State Workers’ Compensation Board adopted superseding emergency telemedicine rules that it says will prevent health and safety risks through social distancing.
The WCB earlier in April announced that it adopted rules allowing virtual doctor visits to slow the spread of COVID-19.
A notice posted in the April 27 New York State Register says the superseding emergency rules contemplate new variants of COVID-19 and allow telemedicine visits to continue in some circumstances when medically appropriate.
