California’s labor-management advisory panel postponed a meeting scheduled for Thursday.
The Commission on Health and Safety and Workers' Compensation said in an email that the meeting will not be held as scheduled due to unforeseen circumstances. The email did not say if or when the meeting would be held.
Commissioners were slated to discuss the procedures for contracting with research organizations to study issues in the state’s comp system. Members of CHSWC have expressed concern that researchers aren’t interviewing enough system users, especially injured workers.
