A set of new reporting requirements will go into effect Sept. 1, updating the technical protocols carriers use to submit data to the Texas Department of Insurance.
The amendments to the Texas Administrative Code include both changes to the way carriers will submit data and clarifications to existing requirements, according to a Monday press release. Among the amendments are:
A clarification that payers must list the same prescription number for each ingredient of a compound medication.
An emphasis of the rule that carriers must report duplicate medical bills.
