Ex-Fremont House Counsel Wins $1.35 Million for 2008 Termination

Kamin, ReporterFremont General's former general counsel won a $1.35 million breach of employment contract suit against its successor, after an appellate court agreed that he was terminated without good cause. California's 2nd District Court of Appeal affirmed a $1.35 million award for Alan Faigin, the former general counsel for Fremont General Corp. He won the award against Signature Group Holdings, the private investment group that succeeded Fremont General, pursuant to a 2010 bankruptcy plan.  Faigin had worked with most of Fremont General's subsidiaries...
